TODD WALKER, PRESIDENT
A former medical practice and hospital administrator who has been consulting with healthcare providers since 2000, Todd attended West Virginia State University and the University of Charleston for Business Administration and Nursing. He began his career as a clinical professional before transitioning to the administrative side of healthcare, with experience in all operational, fiscal and compliance aspects of physician groups and hospital specialty departments. Blending his business and clinical acumen creates a quality patient care model with positive financial results.
Todd formed Comprehensive Healthcare Advisors (CHA) in 2007 after serving as managing healthcare director for a large accounting firm. In 2010, CHA merged with MedComm Billing Consultants, and Todd assumed executive management responsibilities for both entities. The combination gives physicians and hospitals access to a full menu of practice management and billing services.

Todd is a Registered Nurse and an active member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and the Ohio MGMA. He is closely affiliated with the Columbus Medical Association and CHA is the exclusive provider of consulting services for the Ohio State Medical Association. Todd also spends time advocating for healthcare providers through efforts to influence positive change in healthcare legislation. He resides in Sunbury, Ohio with his wife and two daughters.
CARLA CARTER, CMC, CMOM, DIRECTOR & COO
A Certified Medical Coder and Certified Medical Office Manager, Carla has extensive experience in revenue cycle management and business office management. She was a practice administrator for two multi-specialty groups, and trained and implemented various practice management systems and electronic health records during her tenure with a healthcare technology firm. She has been consulting with medical providers since 2003, helping underperforming practices by analyzing billing procedures, improving cash flow and collections, increasing staff efficiency, developing policies and procedures, and providing application and procedures training.
In 2006, Carla formed Medical Practice Management Solutions, where she provided billing and consulting services to clients in Ohio and Virginia, and worked successfully with Comprehensive Healthcare Advisors on consulting projects before joining MedComm in 2011.
Carla is an active proctor for Practice Management Institute in Ohio. She supports individuals in obtaining various certifications related to coding, healthcare management, compliance and insurance processing. She has served on healthcare committees such as the National Proctor Advisory Board for PMI, Office Manager Network Committee for Doctors Hospital, Advisory Board for Premier Health Care, PCP Advisory Committee for Nationwide Health Plan, PCP Advisory Committee for Cigna Health Plan, and Mid Ohio Medical Management Association. She has presented on several topics related to revenue cycle management. Carla resides in London, Ohio with her husband and son.
John Macko, EVP
John serves as Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy for MedComm Billing Consultants/Comprehensive Healthcare Advisors, Inc.. He is responsible for broadening their overall strategy and continuity across all service offerings, through: business development, strategic JV initiatives, channel partnerships, MSO development, identifying mergers and acquisitions, and private label opportunities. John has 20+ years’ experience in healthcare services and transaction-based markets. Prior to joining CH-Advisors, he was EVP of Strategy at MiraMed Global Services where he was responsible for both US and International based sales, and client relationships across all company brands. He was also CEO and partner in a national, healthcare focused ARM company and multi-specialty physician billing company. There he was responsible for the divestiture, corporate restructuring, and acquisition which secured its present success. He also co-founded and developed Vision Financial, a national ARM and CRM company with multiple operational facilities in several industry verticals. Prior to starting his company, he successfully managed sales, client support services, operations, IT and analytics. John has the ability to accumulate new ideas, recognize new technologies and process improvements, and then subtlety helping incorporate them into the company’s existing culture.
KAY ZWICKER, CPC, CPC-H, DIRECTOR OF ANESTHESIA BILLING
A Certified Procedural Coder, Kay received a BSSW from Bowling Green State University and began her career in healthcare in 1985. During her tenure with a large multi-specialty pediatric group, Kay gained broad exposure to all facets of medical billing. She is well-versed in coding, claims processing, systems management and revenue cycle management services. Her list of credentials includes receiving her CPC in 2005, CPC-H in 2006, and CANPC (an anesthesia-specific certification) in 2010.
Kay joined MedComm in 2006, and focuses on anesthesia billing, supports staff education, maintains the integrity of practice management systems, and researches industry regulations. She makes it a priority to understand the entire revenue cycle from coding of claims through the appeals process, to maintain best practices and the highest standards.

MELISSA MITCHELL, BILLING MANAGER, DERMATOLOGY AND ORTHOPEDICS
For well over a decade, Melissa has been successful as a healthcare billing specialist, office manager, and accounts receivable manager, working in single and multi-specialty practices, primary care, ancillary surgical centers, and in an academic medical center. She began her career as billing specialist for a family practice group, where her primary responsibility was accounts receivable follow-up, before moving to pain management and orthopedic anesthesia billing where she was responsible for all aspects of the revenue cycle. She later managed a pain management practice’s clinical and administrative staff, and then managed the revenue cycle for an academic medical center with more than 300 physicians.
Her experience and broad-based background were welcome additions to MedComm, where she now manages the revenue cycle for a dermatology and hand and microsurgery group. Melissa currently resides in Pickerington, Ohio with her husband, two sons, and their English Bulldog, Brutus.
PATTI GRILL, CPC, CPMA, MANAGER, AUDITING AND COMPLIANCE
A compliance consultant who specializes in managing physician documentation and coding audits and provides focused education for multiple specialties, Patti has worked in the industry for more than a decade. Her experience includes several years in a multi-physician surgery practice providing coding and documentation support, coordination of benefits, billing and collections and front office practices, along with five years in the Ohio State Medical Association’s consulting department, performing documentation audits and physician education.
Patti joined CHA in 2013 to coordinate and conduct physician-focused audits, present audit findings, and deliver onsite education. She earned a BS from Fairleigh Dickinson University and coding and auditing credentials through the American Academy of Professional Coders.
WAYNE HOWLETT, MHA, FACMPE, SENIOR CONSULTANT AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER
As an experienced practice administrator, leader, and consultant, Wayne has provided services to both private and hospital employed physician groups and local public health clinics across Ohio. He earned an undergraduate degree in Business Operations from DeVry Institute of Technology, and a Master of Health Services Management and Policy from The Ohio State University.
His work has focused on all aspects of medical practice management and operations, including designing and implementing operational and leadership structures, reorganizing processes, performing revenue cycle analyses for both private practice and public health organizations, physician marketing, creating and implementing office policies and procedures, analyzing and negotiating physician fee schedules, constructing monthly dashboard reports, and creating annual physician budgets.
Wayne has served as interim director of physician practices for two different health systems, has served as physician liaison with a large multi-specialty medical services organization, and has been the practice administrator in three private practice settings before joining MedComm in 2008. Wayne earned the distinction of Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE).
He served on various professional organization boards, including secretary and vice president of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Assembly, a professional chapter of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and as the legislative liaison with the Ohio MGMA. Wayne maintains active membership with both the MGMA and the Ohio MGMA. He resides in Newark, Ohio with his wife and three children.
TERI BOOHER, BILLING MANAGER
Having worked in the medical billing industry since 1990, Teri has gained extensive experience with all aspects of the billing cycle, revenue cycle billing, multiple practice management systems, and medical specialties. Teri served as a billing specialist, supervisor and manager in a private cardiology practice for 19 years, before moving to a multispecialty billing team at a large academic medical center, handling billing for cardiology, human genetics, sleep medicine, pulmonary, allergy and general internal medicine. Teri has four daughters and two stepsons, and lives in Columbus with her husband and youngest daughter.
TRACI ZWIESLER, DERMATOLOGY BILLING MANAGER
Traci earned an Associate degree of Applied Science specializing in Business Management Technology from Columbus State Community College. She started her career in a front desk role at a specialty dental office where she handled all aspects of the revenue cycle. She then settled into the billing department of a large dermatology practice.
When Traci initially joined MedComm, she accepted the role of Team Lead, supervising and coordinating work for her team members; while focusing on dermatology specific claims. As the team grew, Traci effortlessly transitioned to the Billing Manager for the Dermatology Division of MedComm. The department continues to expand quickly and successfully, due to the strategic workflows in place and the commitment to leadership that Traci possesses.
Traci has been focused on medical billing since 2009 and has been given the opportunity to work all aspects of the revenue cycle. This allows her to respect and understand the work that each member of her team is responsible for. She knows that without the same commitment from her team members, they would not be able to deliver the exceptional results and customer service that MedComm is known for. Traci’s greatest fulfillment comes from equipping her staff by further developing their skills around revenue cycle, in order for them to advance in their careers. She promotes a positive work environment while maintaining productivity standards that provide the highest levels of reimbursements for clients.
She resides in Columbus, Ohio with her husband ,and dog Woodrow. She enjoys traveling to Montana to visit her daughter and take in the beautiful views.
CANDICE ARYITEY, BILLING MANAGER ORTHOPEDIC GROUPS
A member of the American Health Information Management Association, Candice holds credentials as a Physician-Based Certified Coding Specialist and earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management. Her experience includes the specialties of pain management, ophthalmology, and internal medicine. She has held leadership and management positions in multiple practices, allowing her to gain considerable knowledge regarding the billing, accounting, patient care, and business aspects of the healthcare field.
Candice has demonstrated success in accounts receivable management, process improvement, standard operating procedure development, and enhancement of team skills. She focuses on strengthening her team in a way that provides a rewarding work environment while securing maximum reimbursement. She requires her team to work in a manner consistent with ethical business practices and conduct their duties in ways that withstand scrutiny. Candice finds her greatest motivation in coaching others to perform above and beyond expectations.
